1G Ethernetを8ポートと、2.5G対応のSFPポートを1つ備えたルーターで、RB2011の後継にあたる製品です。付属の金具で、1Uのラックスペースに2台～4台を並べて設置できます。
CPUは2コアの32bit ARM（800MHz）、メモリは512MBで、USB 3.0とRJ45のシリアルコンソールを備えます。ルーティング性能は最大3.4Gbps（1518バイト）、IPフィルターを25ルール適用した場合は1.0Gbpsです。電源はDCジャックとether1のPoE受電（IEEE 802.3af/at）に対応し（どちらも24〜56V）、ether8からは入力電源に応じた電圧のパッシブPoEで給電できます。32bit ARMのコンテナに対応します。
L009UiGS-RMは、30台前後の端末がつながるネットワークの通信を処理できます。ファンのない構造で動作温度範囲は-40〜70℃と広く、USBポートにはストレージやLTEモデムを接続できます。シリアルコンソールからも直接設定できるため、ネットワーク経由で接続できない状態でも作業できます。
